Cp05 letter still no refund
In early May, we got the letters requesting verification by setting up an online IRS account. Did that immediately. Then we wait. We lose our bars on WMR in late May, early June. I check our transcripts and we get a 6/28/21 processing date, but then the 971 code (Notice Issued) on 7/12/21. We finally get the CP05 letter in the mail shortly ...All it means is they are buying more time. 60 MORE days on top of the original 60 day review notice you should have received. I got this letter and the lady at the irs said to wait 120 days to contact them if I dont get it. This the second letter I got basically saying the same thing. I filled Jan 29th.
